Kay Bea Jones, associate professor at The Ohio State University Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture, will lecture and present a slide show Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the McCarty Auditorium of the University of Tennessee Art and Architecture Building.

Her presentation, entitled "Suspending Modernity: Franco Albini's Post-War Museums," is in conjunction with the current exhibit in UT's Ewing Gallery showcasing photographs of Albini's museums and installations.

Jan. 29 is the final day the Albini exhibition will be on display; a closing reception for the exhibition will follow Jones' lecture at 6:30 p.m. in the Ewing Gallery.

Jones' area of expertise is Italian modern and contemporary architecture. She has written and lectured extensively in this field, and recently published a book called "Publi-city: Techniques for the Survival of Public Space."

Albini often is considered to be one of the most important contributors to Italian neo-rationalist design, designing both furniture and larger architectural pieces. His work helped to change the course of Italian architectural design.
