Junior UT nursing students, as well as graduate students from the College of Nursing, will conduct medical screenings in early April for UT students, faculty and staff.

The health check will be Wednesday April 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.  The health check will include bone density, hearing, vision, blood pressure, sickle cell and anxiety screenings.  The sponsor, Cariten Healthcare, will offer discounted blood work along with the free screenings.

"The Covenant Health Check takes place at 14 different sites in four counties over a period of one month", Covenant Health Check coordinator Shannon Reynolds said. Covenant Health Check is a branch of Cariten Healthcare.

A blood analysis costs $20 and requires 12 hours of fasting before the test is administered. Other sponsors include television station WBIR and the Knoxville News Sentinel.

It is not necessary to make an appointment.  For more information, contact Shannon Reynolds at SREYNOL1@covhlth.com.
